Marie Thorne from Hanover says she is still worried about a tree about 100ft tall in her front yard. Her fear became real when she heard a loud bang.

“I heard a big explosion like a bomb,” said the 80-year-old man. That loud noise was the tree crashing into his garage, literally splitting it in half, probably from a wild storm. Mary says she couldn’t afford to remove the tree and “God cut it down” for her.

She called her niece as soon as it happened. Leann Strait says she looks after her aunt and Mary was home alone recovering from her recent heart operation when the giant tree crashed into the garage.

“If it falls the other way…I don’t even want to think about what could happen,” Lin said.

Lisa told CBS that she had no plans to move to another house after this incident. Instead, she counts the blessings she has received.

“The Lord took it for me. I’m alive. My house is fine, and I thank God it was with me.”
