Some people have a way of surprising us in a way that we would never expect, and police officer Mike Morgan from the Codington County Sheriff’s Office in Watertown, South Dakota, is one of those people.

When he was off duty, Mike found himself inside of the closed county courthouse and he couldn’t resist having his partner record him doing something he had wanted to do for years.

Because the acoustics in the courthouse are amazing, Mike wanted to sing a special song. That special song was the national anthem and boy, did he do it justice.

After waiting so long to fulfill his dream, this police officer belts out the national anthem better than you can ever imagine. The structure of the building carries the tune beautifully making it even more amazing.

What do you think about his rendition of the national anthem? Let us know in the comments, and show this video to your friends and family!
