While planning his wedding, Dalton wanted to do something special for 2-year-old Elora. While most 2-year-olds act as bridesmaids at weddings, Dalton wanted something a little less traditional for her wedding. Dalton decided she would carry Elora on her back as she walked down the aisle. This concept, known as baby clothes, is becoming increasingly important among brides today. The bride also chose to forgo the traditional veil. Speaking to reporters at Inside Edition, Dalton said carrying Ellora on her back came naturally to her. As a busy mother, Dalton spends most of the day carrying Ellora anyway, and carrying her baby girl on her back has allowed Dalton to seamlessly include her in today’s festivities. When the big day came, the shy bride carried Ellora in a baby carrier. Dalton then joked that little Elora fell asleep about 20 minutes after the party. In a touching moment, Dalton nursed Ellora as she said her vows. Dalton and Elora’s story quickly gained internet attention, thanks in part to photos taken by Laura Schaefer of Fire and Gold Photography in Steubenville, Ohio. In addition to getting overwhelming support from moms, netizens can’t help but smile at Dalton and Elora’s beauty. In a cute photo, little Elora can be seen pulling her mother’s hair. Dalton herself was amazed at the quality of the photos and she can’t wait to show them to Ellora when she’s older. Dalton said seeing the photos would help Ellora see how important she was to her and what an incredible role she played in her marriage.
