Many of the other shelter dogs stayed as far away as possible in their cells when the visitors came.
Not a penny! Even the shelter workers wondered why Benny was so optimistic and impatient. He often circled his cage and wagged his tail happily.
One day, a family came to visit the shelter. When they spotted Penny, they knew he was the right dog for them.
Penny just got used to his old routine of greeting visitors in hopes that someone would take him home. That day has finally arrived!
Once all the paperwork was signed and the adoption was done, it was 100% official that Penny would have his forever home.
But he still did not realize that he was about to leave the shelter for good.
The day has come for Penny to go to his new home. Everyone at the shelter was happy and excited that the big day had come.
One of the workers took out her phone to record the magical moment for the world to see.
Benny was organizing his cell as usual when his new family and the shelter workers approached him. He happily wagged his tail and watched everyone talk.
Then one of the workers came with a red chain. After placing it on his neck, the worker opened the door to let him out. That’s when he seemed to wake up Benny – he was finally going home!
Benny was so happy to be back home that he started jumping with more enthusiasm than usual.
He was saying one last goodbye to housing life and hello to a happy and loving home. He went crazy when he went out with his new family!
Benny continued his antics until the end of the video. We’ve never seen a dog behave like this cute guy!
We’re so glad he finally got a place of his own after so long!
