One day, Ladislao Alcantara and Rosellen Janssen were riding their bikes when they came across an animal in need. Halfway up sat a brown dachshund with its ribs sticking out through its skin. He looked at them as if asking for help.
Roslyn held out her backpack and pulled out some bread for the hungry dog, which he immediately ate. Afterwards, the couple asked locals about the dog and discovered that the place was popular as a dog litter area.
Ladislau unpacked his backpack and put the skinny dog inside to come for a ride. He was careful while pedaling and made sure the dachshund was okay inside. He just knew he couldn’t leave it behind.
On returning home, Ladislao turned to Roslin and said, “Since I don’t have children, I will have a dog.” 🙂
They named the dog Rotivi, and once home, they gave him a bath and a well-deserved meal. The more time the couple spent with him, the more they grew attached to the nice guy!
Rotifi has now reached a healthy weight and continues her journey with her new parents on all their adventures! They didn’t know it at the time, but it was exactly what they needed in their lives.
