The UPS driver recently played the hero when he rescued an animal that was about to face a potentially tragic fate.
Jason Harcro told KCRA News he was driving his usual way in California when he saw something that would make anyone’s stomach turn. While delivering the parcel, Jason saw a car stopping, opened the door and threw a puppy. The car then drove off, leaving the pup to fend for itself on a busy road.
This outright act of animal cruelty shocked Jason. He parked his truck immediately and ran down the road to pick up the pup before she could trot into the busy road.
Although Jason didn’t get the offending car’s license plate number, at least he saved the pup from danger. Then take the puppy to the local police station. From there, the pup was handed over to Animal Services for evaluation.
The Hughson Police Department said the puppy is doing well and will soon be available for adoption at the Stanislaus County Animal Shelter.
