With his parents’ blessing, Chase set out to do the one thing he’d dreamed of since he first met Sadie. Surrounded by Sadie and two sets of parents, Chase explained to them why he wanted to go ahead with the marriage.
“I told them how much Sadie had changed my life and how much I loved her, how special she was to me and the simple fact that no one was able to open up about my personal life and my cancer journey like me. I’m capable of that with her,” Chase told Indy Star when he asked who Sadie would marry him.
With the blessing of both sets of parents, Chase and Sadie set out to plan their simple wedding. Due to the current global situation, they knew other family and friends would not be able to attend, but wanted to share this special day with them.
Because of this, Sadie’s dad, Jeff Mills, shared a 15-minute video on his YouTube page highlighting moments from the beautiful party that took place at Sadie’s house in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The whole wedding was planned in just four days and it turned out exactly as the young couple had imagined. Chase’s mother described their romance as something out of a Hallmark movie or a Nicholas Sparks novel.
Watch the video for yourself and let us know what you think of Chase and Sadie’s love story. Do you agree that their story is one of the pages of a romance novel?
The newlyweds are now enjoying married life and praying for a miracle that Chase will live long enough to share his story. In an update on Chase’s GoFundMe page from September this year, it was revealed that he had had recent scans, but the news was not good, with some tumors growing.
He still has good days ahead and is surrounded by the love of Sadie, family and friends as he continues to receive care.
On April 4, 2021, Chase ran (or maybe swam?!) into the arms of our Heavenly Father!
He has entered his eternal home in paradise and is now completely healed and free from pain or suffering.
Any donations left over after paying medical bills and funeral expenses will be donated to the many projects that were near and dear to Chase’s heart.
