When asked about his determination to find the girl, Tamar said in a video interview below, “I felt like I was going to find her.” Not knowing at the time, Temar was going to do exactly that and soon became known as a hero to the little girl and her family members.

While Temar and Chris were navigating the neighborhood intently for anything suspicious, they noticed a chestnut car swerving into the side roads and making turns as if the driver was unfamiliar with the area. After finding this strange behavior, to say the least, Temar and Chris started hunting them down.

“Every time we went to the street, he would turn around, and then…we would follow him,” Tamar said of the experience in the video below. After about 15 minutes of chasing the maroon Chevy, the hijacker must have known that he was not going to get away from the car, as he stopped the car and pushed the little girl out.

“He stopped at the end of the hill and let her go, so she ran towards me and said she needed her mother,” Tamar recalls. Just minutes after finding the little girl huddled in the passenger seat of the hijacker’s car, Temar and Chris reunite Jocelyn with her grateful family.

“He’s our hero. There are no words to say,” Jocelyn’s grandmother said, giving Tamar a tight hug.

A January 2019 update shows that Temar Boggs has fallen onto hard times, according to Penn Live News. He was sentenced to 40 months in prison for his role in an armed robbery in late 2018, reports Penn Live.

As of 2020, he was released on probation and has been trying to find employment. A GoFundMe page had been created to help Temar with his fines and to help him get back on his feet.
