Josh Groban’s 2015 album, also titled “Stages,” made a significant impact as it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, according to Billboard. This album is a compilation of Broadway show tunes, ranging from beloved hits like “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz to timeless classics like “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables.

During a special televised performance, which was part of the album release, Josh Groban and American Idol star Kelly Clarkson came together to deliver a breathtaking rendition of “All I Ask of You” from the iconic ’80s musical The Phantom of the Opera. This renowned musical is based on a French novel of the same name.

Early on, Groban approached Clarkson with the hope that she would join him on the album. Despite considering it a long shot due to Clarkson’s commitments, including a new baby and a new album at the time, Groban decided to reach out to her. Being a longtime fan of Clarkson, Groban was delighted when she showed genuine enthusiasm for the collaboration
