Veteran Gregory and Victoria Hodler got an emotional support dog named Judy. And when it came time to give birth to their first child, they left Jodi in the temporary care of a family member. But this family member sold the dog without his permission. The couple spent the next two years desperately searching for their pet.
When the Hudlers got a call from a Tennessee shelter, they were elated. Staff were able to identify Judy using her microchips, but no one knows how she ended up at this shelter. An organization that transports pets has emerged from disaster areas and overcrowded shelters called Wings of Rescue to help reunite Judy with her mother and father. Judy made the trip with 130 other dogs for her humans in New Jersey!
