Rescuers could hear the sounds of the cub inside the tubes, but they couldn’t get to where he was. Rescuers were unwilling to give up as they believed the cub would likely die if left in the tube.
The men spent 90 minutes trying to reach the cub until they finally realized they would have to change their strategy if they were to succeed.

The rescue team decided to take a break and resume work later to see if the situation would change in favor of rescuing the cub. When the men returned, Trevor reached for the tube and his hand made contact with the cub.

Rescuers wrapped the little one in dry towels and took him to their care center to clean him up.
Soon the little one returned to the rescue site where his mother was waiting to find her baby.
The little one and his mother were overjoyed to be together again, and rescuers were overwhelmed with emotion from the experience.
