For over two decades, Jan DeVito has had the exact same beauty routine. She teases and sprays her hair into the same full bun. Then she applies a full face of makeup.

Throughout the day she is constantly reapplying hairspray and makeup.

“I’ve had the same look since I was 16 years old. I’ve been wearing my hair in a bun at least 25 years,” Jan says. “I’ve used the same makeup since I was at least 15 or 16 years old.”

Even before bed, she sleeps with a full face of foundation, eyeshadow, and lipstick. Her daughter says growing up Jan was always known as the lady with the silver bun and lots of makeup. Embarrassed by the stares her mother received, she hopes that Oprah will give Jan a makeover where less will certainly be more.

“Another layer [of makeup] before bed. I never know if at anytime that I [might] have to get up, some type of emergency, that I wouldn’t have time to apply my makeup and I would never leave home without it,” Jan says.

The first thing she does every morning is remove her pillow case because it is covered in makeup. “I don’t remember the last time anyone, including my husband, has seen me without makeup,” she says.

Finally, when the transformation is complete, Jan’s beauty shines through. With less cover up, you can actually see her stunning features. The audience, including her daughter, can’t stop screaming.

“That’s like a make-down.. a makeunder,” Oprah says. See the amazing “makeunder” below.
