Recognizing the potential for bias-based bullying against her daughter, 38-year-old Gopalan, a mom from North Carolina, took immediate and proactive steps. Concerned that her daughter’s thick eyebrows and facial hair might make her a target for bullies, Gopalan decided to address the issue head-on.

In a TikTok video, Gopalan was shown using a portable razor to shave her daughter’s facial hair. In the clip, she expressed her determination to prevent any potential bullying, stating, “Ain’t no way you are getting bullied for your beautiful thick Indian brows.”

The interaction between mother and daughter revealed Gopalan’s proactive approach, driven by her own experiences as a teen. Gopalan shared that she faced teasing at her daughter’s age due to her thick facial hair but was not allowed to shave her eyebrows by her own mother.

Recalling her past, Gopalan explained, “I remember getting made fun of when I was your age,” emphasizing that she, too, had thick facial hair. When her daughter asked why she didn’t shave her face at a young age, Gopalan responded, “Because my mom didn’t let me,” praising her daughter’s brows as the “Most gorgeous brows EVER.”

The video has gained viral attention, accumulating over 30 million views and numerous comments applauding Gopalan for taking a supportive stance.

“This warms my heart!! I got teased so much, and my mom didn’t let me get my brows waxed till my freshman year of high school,” one commenter shared.

“We love moms like this ❤️,” another wrote.

“I’m Arab, and I also got made fun of for my brows when I was little, wish my mom let me do this 😭,” a third commenter expressed
