When Min-Min the panda gave birth to her newborn baby, doctors and zoo staff had to make a difficult decision. As the wild animals instantly bond with their young, they felt it was in the baby’s best interests to be separated from their mother so that they could get tested quickly.

Fortunately, the child passed the medical examination with flying colors. It’s time to meet my mother. But will mom reject her child now that they’re apart?

The therapists did their best to remove the baby’s odors and carefully threw the little one into the Min-Min container. They held their breath as they waited for her maternal instincts.
