Humpback whales are known for being some of the most majestic creatures in the world, but since they live deep underwater, sightings of them are extremely rare. That’s what makes the footage this man captured so amazing!

Brad Rich was boating off the coast of Seward, Alaska when his friends told him that they saw some humpback whales feeding in the distance. Brad started recording some circling seagulls in the hopes of capturing the whales, and he ended up getting a whole lot more than he bargained for!

Suddenly, a large group of whales emerged out of the water, right by Brad’s boat! Brad was both excited and terrified when he saw them.

The whales breached so fast that they created waves that rocked his boat. Brad sounds petrified in the video, but I have to admit that I would have been even more scared then him if I was in his shoes!

It’s amazing that Brad was able to capture this incredible once in a lifetime moment on camera! Videos like this one serve as a reminder of how amazing the world around us really is. While humans are roaming the land of the Earth, there is an entire other world that exists deep under the water! I can only hope that someday, I get the chance to see whales up close in person just like Brad did!

What luck that Brad managed to get the whole thing on film so that others could witness the magic too – this is truly amazing!
