A Minnesota father stands up to a family he believes is bullying his adopted 14-year-old daughter. He calls them out on a YouTube video – and it shows the abusive messages his daughter has received. It contains words so powerful that it had to be edited for television.
Brad Knudson posted the video to show people how his daughter was bullied with racist messages on Snapchat. “Apparently I acted like it didn’t affect me and just ignored it and pretended life was different right now,” Didi said. “But inside, I was crying a little.”
The YouTube video he shot on Monday night has already garnered over 300,000 views. Didi Knudson is the youngest of five siblings. Her parents adopted her 11 years ago and she has become a dedicated volleyball player…and a bit of a daddy’s girl.
“She’s one of the most amazing girls I’ve ever met, another reason why it hurts so much,” Brad said. Knudson says he filed a police report and contacted the parents of the ninth graders.
He says that after a heated discussion, the children’s father left a message, again using the n-word.
“He said when he was growing up he used that word all the time,” Brad said. “He jokes about that word all the time in their house.” On Wednesday, Minneapolis-based WCCO-TV won Father Knudson calling him out in this video of his firing.
