A heartwarming story of a teenager’s good deed has taken the internet by storm. When 15-year-old Tyler Rodriquez found a lost purse on the side of the road in Chula Vista, California, he knew he had to do the right thing. He used the information in the purse to track down the owner, Isabel Martin, and returned the purse to her doorstep.

Rodriquez’s act of kindness was caught on video by Martin’s Ring doorbell, and it soon went viral on social media. The Chula Vista community came together to find the teenager and thank him for his honesty. Martin and her daughter, who were initially shocked that the purse had been recovered, launched a fundraiser overnight to offer something in return.

By the time Rodriquez was located, community members had donated over $1,115 to the teenager. He expressed his gratitude for the money, saying it feels good and that he’ll use it for gas money. Rodriquez credited his mother for inspiring his actions, saying she had always taught him to do the right thing even when no one is around.

Isabel Marquez, a friend of Martin’s who had also helped in the search for Rodriquez, expressed her admiration for the young man. She said, “Every parent right now hopes that their children grow up to be just like this young gentleman.” Marquez also noted the importance of positive news in these trying times and how welcome this heartwarming story is.

In a world where bad news seems to dominate headlines, it’s refreshing to hear about the kindness of strangers like Tyler Rodriquez. Hopefully, his good deed will inspire others to do the same and spread positivity and hope
