The video features Morgan Roseberry, an 18-year-old young man with autism. Over the course of 10 years, he had developed a deep bond with his family’s pet cat, Tabby. His mother shared their unique relationship with Metro, stating:
“Morgan found an unwavering, nonjudgmental companion in Tabby. Initially reserved and solitary when she first arrived, she transformed into an affectionate and loving companion, particularly with Morgan.”
Sadly, Morgan’s beloved feline friend passed away in September 2019.
Morgan was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the tender age of three. His mother described his condition:
“He struggled with engaging in two-way conversations. After extensive evaluations, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism within the spectrum.”
Asperger’s Syndrome typically involves higher functioning abilities, where individuals may face social challenges and difficulty with effective communication. However, behavior therapy and support can enable individuals to lead fulfilling lives despite having autism. This form of autism is relatively rare, with fewer than 200,000 cases reported annually.
Fortunately, Morgan received a heartwarming surprise on his 18th birthday. His family visited a nearby animal rescue shelter and found a new furry companion for him to love and cherish
