Juanie expressed her frustration, highlighting that the four-hour flight made the dog “restless” with every little change in the plane. Despite noting that the dog was generally “fine and non-problematic,” she blamed Delta for allowing the situation. In a tweet, she lamented having dog hair on her and the woman next to her, considering it too much.
At one point, the dog encroached on the woman’s seat, leading Juanie to ask the owner to control the dog. This resulted in the dog “blemishing” her purse and stepping on the aisle seat woman’s purse as well.
Adding to her grievances, Juanie was shocked when the woman pulled out a banned vape during the flight. She demanded a refund and credits, emphasizing her dissatisfaction on Twitter.
Delta Airlines’ guidelines specify that only “small dogs, cats, and household birds” are allowed in the cabin, housed in a ventilated carrier that fits under the seat. This information seemed to have been overlooked by the passenger with the 50-pound dog. Additionally, vaping is prohibited by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and considered a federal offense.
Twitter users, incensed by Juanie’s experience, criticized Delta, with some supporting her demand for a refund. Delta’s social media representative responded to Juanie, apologizing for the incident, acknowledging it was not allowed, and requesting private communication to address the situation
