Environmental security camera footage shows a woman throwing a yellow Labrador Retriever into a park in Vancouver, Washington. The video shows her stopping in front of a Tesla car and releasing the dog, then removing the leash and collar. Then he begins an imaginary walk through the woods to entice the dog to turn around and leave.
Camera owner Alyssa Ott couldn’t believe what she saw and called a friend who called the I Paw’d It Forward dog rescue service, who agreed to accept her .
“What she did when she took off the collar and petted the dog and threw the collar in the car is a sign to me that it was probably her dog and you wouldn’t want there to be a way to get it. find her,” Keri-Lyn Jakubs, who was found during the rescue, told KGW8.
“Someone was going to get rid of a dog that had just left, they wouldn’t hesitate to go back and make sure they go to the park.”
The dog has since been transferred to the Humane Society of Southwest Washington where he is safe and currently being cared for.
Clark County Animal Control and Protection are investigating the incident and are asking for help in identifying the woman.
