Synchronized swimming is often associated with the young and athletic women. However, a group of elderly men dispelled that stereotype.
The men walked on stage wearing their bathing suits and goggles. They started a hilarious synchronized swimming routine that left the audience in stitches.
Historically, synchronized swimming is a female sport. Even though a man invented the sport, it does not have a male category. Benjamin Franklin founded the sport since he spent most of his time swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. He was experimenting on exercise and its benefits.
In 1724, Benjamin Franklin toured the Thames River where he performed the maneuvers. He called it ornamental swimming and it really entertained the onlookers.
The group of senior men borrowed the idea and wanted to demonstrate their skills The camera starts to roll and the men began to move in the “water”. Their synchronized swimming talent left the people howling in laughter. They dived, kicked, and danced as part of the action.
