Starting next summer, New Yorkers can fly nonstop to Sardinia, Italy.

One of the world’s five “Blue Zones,” Sardinia is celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes and the remarkable longevity of its residents, many of whom live past 100. Locals credit their long lives to natural foods, daily physical activity, and close-knit communities.

This historic new route is a milestone for Delta and a golden opportunity for travelers eager to discover a lesser-known Mediterranean gem.

It also reinforces Delta’s status as the largest U.S. carrier to Italy, complementing its existing service to Rome, Milan, Venice, Naples, and Catania.
