The death of a parent, at any age, leaves an empty void. The pain is worse when one is young. Little boys look up to their fathers. Their fathers are their unsung heroes, role models, their confidants.

Jace and Jett Kellog lost their dad, Boe, to colon cancer. It takes a lot of love and time to heal from such a loss. However, the surprise squad from Fox Five News was up to the challenge.

Ten-year-old Jace always harbored a dream of being a bull rider. He admired his father’s riding skills.  According to Jake, bull riding gets your adrenaline going.

Boe loved bull riding and that inspired Jace. Jace relieves his pain and loss and gets emotional about it.

The Surprise Squad got wind of the story and Jace’s love for bull riding. The squad planned a surprise for him. During an interview, the boys mentioned their love for professional bull riding and their love for J.B. Mauney, a superstar PBR rider.

As Jackson, from the Squad, leads them out, the boys are in for a big surprise.

Watch the video below to discover what’s in store for Jace and his brother- but don’t forget to grab some tissues first.
