What would you do if you saw an elderly gentleman stuck in a crosswalk? While some people might wait patiently for him to cross, many others wouldn’t be so kind. One cop knew this reality, and when he saw the crosswalk change from green to red he knew he needed to act fast. As cameras rolled in the busy seven lane intersection, an elderly gentleman clutching two canes is seen slowly moseying across the street. Not even halfway through, the light suddenly changes and cars begin to take off. The three drivers in the middle lanes don’t budge an inch, patiently allowing the gentleman to finish crossing at his own pace.
A traffic cop standing nearby took notice of the potentially dangerous situation, and made a split-second decision that left bystanders watching in disbelief. He is seen approaching the man as they exchange a couple quick sentences in the middle of the road.
