The 61-year-old used his knowledge of electricity to create a doorknob which, when grabbed by a would-be thief, shocks them with 1,000 volts, as reported here in The Sun.
Ray claims they won’t experience any long-term effects from him, but they’ll definitely reconsider trying to break into his truck again.
That’s not all Ray has done. The burglar alarm has also implemented an alarm system that will sound a siren of up to 120 decibels, similar to a chainsaw and louder than an airplane taking off at 1,000 feet. Strobe lights will also be turned off at this time.
After all Ray has done, it would be surprising if thieves were successful in their endeavors in the future. On the contrary, some will say that they deserve what they steal if they somehow receive electric shocks, deafening sounds and strobe lights to hit the device.
Insanely Ray has already started making money instead of losing it because of what these thieves and would-be thieves are doing. Other drivers who have been robbed have also asked him to install the same system on their trucks. At $450 each, he would only have to install 14 to make up for what the thieves had seized.
