Recently, the duo came together to sing along to the Christmas song “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.” But it’s not what you expected! Gwen is generally known for singing along to pop punk songs and Blake is known for his classic country music. This song is completely different for the two artists.
While composing the song, Blake told ET Online that Gwen did most of the hard work. Although Blake started the track with his own lyrics, he credits Gwen for doing the rest of the song. When asked how cool he thought Gwen was in the clip, Blake replied:
“How beautiful is she all the time? It’s amazing now, wherever she is, she looks great whatever she’s doing.”
Although he has songwriting credits, he jokingly admits that Gwen should be the only person with that honor. Combining the two styles in one go is no mean feat, but these two styles manage to do it with style and flair!
Any song from these two icons is bound to be a hit, and “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” is no exception!
For the video, they took the classic Christmas approach to matching the song. The set is elegantly decorated with holiday-themed items as Blake and Gwen prepare for the best Christmas ever.
In the video, they can be seen picking their own Christmas tree and forming snowmen together. Although you may think it’s hard to mix their musical styles, their sounds blend together like a dream! The two genres singing together came together perfectly for the song.
