Dakota Nelson never expected that one day he will lose his lovely wife Ream. Sadly, that’s what happened.
Just like any other day, The married couple were just in their garage, organizing stuff, when Dakota left to retrieve something. When he was back, he was shocked to see Ream on the floor, unconscious , with face blue and no sign of breathing.
Dakota immediately leapt into CPR while their 11-year-old son was calling 911. 20 minutes passed, Ream eventually passed away. Doctors still can’t figure out what caused her sudden death.
After the tragedy, Dakota became a widower with 7 children, aged 1 through to 16, to take care of and it also fell to him to pay for the upkeep of the house.
To carry the family and fulfill his responsabilities, Dakota started working in three part-time jobs just to pay the bills.
But all hope wasn’t lost … not entirely.
Looking to spread some Christmas cheer, an anonymous donor heard Dakota’s story and decided to help in time for the holiday season.
Dakota was handed a note containing a rather special gift from a ‘Secret Santa’.
Little did he know, however, that it was no less than $10,000. Certainly an amount that can go a long way toward helping Dakota in this most difficult of times.
Dakota, of course, was rendered next to speechless. Tears flowed when he saw the numbers. We can only imagine how much it means to him!
