Hilaria Baldwin Claims Online Backlash Led to Her Leaving ‘DWTS’

Hilaria Baldwin is getting right to the pointe.

The Manual Not Included author opened up about her emotional elimination last week from Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars.

“I did get bullied off the show,” Baldwin, 41, said during an Instagram Live on Sunday, referring to the online backlash she faced throughout her four weeks on the ABC competition. “I did, that’s for sure. That is for sure.”

“One of the most common things people say to me when they actually meet me is how surprised they are by the negativity I receive,” Baldwin shared. “In reality, I am none of the negative things that some people say — and that breaks my heart.”

The New Yorker called out the “campaigns of hate” she’s witnessed throughout her time in the public eye.

“They take lives and demolish mental health,” Baldwin continued. “It’s tragic how rampant this behavior is — countless people suffer daily. Some of the individuals who have harassed me for years, who’ve misrepresented and outright lied about me, seem only satisfied when I’m gone. It feels like nothing I can say or do will ever be right in their eyes.”

Despite online criticism, the mom of seven is focusing on the joy of her Dancing with the Stars journey.

“I’m so grateful for this experience that I had on Dancing with the Stars,” Baldwin shared. “I never thought I would dance again, and I have all of you to thank for writing into the show and making this wild experience happen.”

“I’m so blessed that I got to share this with my family,” the TLC star added. “I loved everybody I met there, and I’m really excited to cheer on my cast mates.”

Throughout the competition, Baldwin was supported by her husband, Alec Baldwin, and their children: Carmen, 12; Rafael, 10; Leonardo, 9; Romeo, 7; Eduardo, 5; María, 4; and Ilaria, 2.

“He’s so supportive of this whole thing,” the dancer said of her husband, actor Alec Baldwin, 67, in an interview with The Post.

Baldwin also reflected on the public’s unfair judgments of her.

“So many times, someone has said as we got off the stage, ‘Don’t worry, a little bit longer and people will be able to see you,’” she shared. “I’ve heard that in so many areas of my life. For the past 15 years, I’ve been tap dancing in all different ways and rhythms, just asking, ‘Do you see me yet? Do you see me yet? Do you see me yet?’”

For Hilaria, the kind gestures and support don’t go unnoticed.

“I never want to stop being grateful for the world I’m in because I am so blessed,” she said. “I live my life with gratitude every single day. But there are really hard moments when I feel misunderstood, taken out of context, or when people misconstrue things or completely make stuff up. That’s very painful, just as a human.”

“But one of the things I love so much about Dancing With the Stars is that it’s something I truly love. I hope people can see that I want to entertain and bring joy — and that it comes from a place where I’m entertained and joyful too.”

The mom of seven also addressed rumors that she created her viral TikTok dance videos to secure a spot on the show.

“The true story is, I’m new to TikTok. I’ve only been on it for a handful of months, so I was just trying to understand it,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Okay, TikTok dances, I’m trying.’ And of course, I made Alec do it with me, as most wives do. Then, a few days later, they called me and asked, ‘Do you want to do this?’”

“I was like, it’s crazy because I have to move seven kids here. I never thought about doing this show in my life,” Baldwin added. “But we got everybody on a plane, came out here, and this is what we’re doing.”
