“Where do we start? It’s a calling, and you either do it or you don’t make it,” Urban said in the premiere episode of The Road, according to a sneak peek obtained by Daily Mail.
He added, “When you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 a.m., sick as a dog, in the middle of nowhere, and you have to play your fifth show that night, haven’t slept, and are missing your friends and family… you feel completely lonely and miserable. And you ask yourself, ‘Why am I doing this?’”
“The only answer can be: because this is what I’m born to do,” Urban continued before introducing the contestants on the new CBS show. “We’re going to find out who’s made for that life.”
