From Blind to Eye Candy: Shayne Jansen’s Stunning Transformation After Rock-Star Lifestyle and Substance Struggles
Former Love Is Blind cast member Shayne Jansen has undergone a jaw-dropping body transformation — a journey sparked after fame led him down a spiral of drugs and alcohol, eventually hitting rock bottom.
“I was like Brad Pitt in Chicago for a good three months… I could go to the best steakhouse, and that owner probably was doing some drugs… and I would go back in the room and do it,” Jansen, 36, told The Post ahead of Love Is Blind’s Season 9 premiere on Oct. 1.
“We were just living like rock stars. I would never wait in line at a club. I could talk to any girl… Anything I wanted, I could have instantly.
“But it’s not healthy. When you get a lot of yeses and no-nos — that’s a dangerous game to play.”

‘Love Is Blind’ Star Shayne Jansen Transforms His Body After Battling Fame, Drugs, and Alcohol
“Love Is Blind” star Shayne Jansen shocked fans with a dramatic body transformation. After appearing on the 2022 season of Love Is Blind, where he was famously left at the altar by consulting manager Natalie Lee, Jansen went on to compete on Netflix’s The Perfect Match the following year.
His reality TV fame brought him half a million Instagram followers — but the pressure took a toll. In April 2023, fans grew concerned when he appeared on TikTok Live, looking disheveled and behaving erratically in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers. “All I kept seeing was that number [of viewers] climb… and then I was like, ‘Oh my God, what did I do?’” recalled the Georgia native, who grew up in Wisconsin.
“I got 10 phone calls right after. People I hadn’t heard from in years. That’s when you knew it was bad.”
Determined to take control, Jansen quit drugs and alcohol and moved from Chicago to Austin, Texas, where he says there are fewer temptations. He committed to the gym, working out up to four times a week. The results were striking: he went from 230 pounds to 210 pounds of muscle and sculpted a defined six-pack.
In July, Jansen shared shirtless before-and-after photos, showcasing his transformation — and quickly gained clients, many female fans from Love Is Blind, who hired him as a personal trainer. “People started seeing my comeback from being in a dark place. They also noticed that I wasn’t that perfect influencer who just came out of nowhere with a six-pack right away,” he said.
Jansen estimates that 95 percent of his followers are women, with many of his clients being 40-year-old moms. “I’m in a massive group text with 50 moms. It’s hilarious,” he added.

The reality star, who was famously left at the altar on Love Is Blind, hasn’t spoken to his ex, Natalie Lee, in about three years.
Despite his dramatic transformation, some female followers criticize his new look, with the most common negative comment being, “Men will do anything but go to therapy.”
“I don’t understand this one way of thinking. I don’t spend my whole 24 hours in the gym — it shows that I’ve gained discipline and structure from therapy,” Jansen explained. “And it’s a habit that got me away from my other stuff.”
While he hasn’t been in touch with his ex-fiancée in “probably three years,” Jansen isn’t opposed to trying to find love on television again.
“Before, I was like, ‘I’m never going to find love on TV. What’s the point?’ But you can’t really find love in the real world either — it’s so toxic. There’s no difference! It’s not good either way right now. It’s just not.”
