Chrissy and Larry Corbitt were thrilled to hear they were expecting a baby. This couple was already dad and mom to four children, but the news of a new addition to the family was too exciting to handle. However, as the months passed by, Chrissy noticed that her stomach expanded more than it had with any other pregnancy. Is she having twins? Or something’s wrong was going with her pregnancy?
The parents were worried, but during each ultrasound, only one baby was present and the doctor assured that nothing is wrong with the pregnancy and their baby is just fine. So what was the reason of the big size of her stomach? Well, it’s because Chrissy was carrying one huge baby! Thankfully, the delivery of her baby went very well via C-section. But when she held her newborn for the first time, she couldn’t believe her eyes. Instead of a large newborn like she expected, a toddler-like child stared back at her. She told Inside Edition, “When they held her around the curtain for me I just couldn’t believe how big she was. I felt like I was looking at a toddler, I was like oh my God, she’s gonna walk to the nursery.”
Right after nurses cleaned up little Carleigh and examined her for immediate health issues, they quickly rushed her over to the scale. This baby one of the biggest they’ve ever seen. Just by looking at the size of Chrissy’s stomach, it was safe to assume that she weighed well over 10 pounds. Sure enough, 13 pounds five ounces popped up on the scale’s screen. what a huge newborn! nurses couldn’t even afford typical diapers to fit. They had to go several sizes up to find a diaper that worked. When Mom and Dad brought Carleigh home they had to ditch the newborn onesies and buy clothing for a nine-month-old child!
