Prior to its Broadway debut on December 4, 2022, “A Beautiful Noise” enjoyed a successful four-week run at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Broadway premiere of “A Beautiful Noise” drew a star-studded audience, including luminaries such as Tony legend Audra McDonald, music executive Clive Davis, Jane Krakowski, and Bernadette Peters, as reported by People Magazine.
Following the remarkable performances by Will Swenson, Mark Jacoby, and Robyn Hurder, Neil Diamond surprised the audience with an impromptu performance from his box seat, treating everyone to a rendition of “Sweet Caroline.”
As Diamond flawlessly sang the iconic chorus — “Sweet Caroline, Good times never seemed so good, I’ve been inclined, To believe they never would, Oh no, no” — the crowd erupted in cheers and joined in the singing.
The memorable performance was shared on the official Instagram page of “A Beautiful Noise,” eliciting emotional reactions from Diamond’s fans. Despite being 82 years old, Diamond’s flawless rendition of the song moved many to tears.
“I’ve watched this a dozen times and get choked up every time. This man has been part of the soundtrack of my entire life. What a gift this little moment is,” shared one fan.
“Omg!! I got chills. I love him and this song so much. Neil Diamond is a true living Legend,” commented another.
