It had been a long day of auditions on “America’s Got Talent,” and the judges were ready to go home. They had just one more performer to see, and he happened to be actor and singer Brian Justin Crum.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Brian attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts, which is where he discovered his passion for performing. When he was just 17, Brian left home to travel the country performing in the show “Wicked,” and since then, he has starred in many other musicals as well. These shows include “Altar Boyz,” “Grease,” “Tarzan,” “Next To Normal,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Snapshots,” and, most recently, with “The Addams Family,” and “We Will Rock You.”

Despite all of his experience performing onstage, Brian was still nervous when he took the stage to audition for “America’s Got Talent.” For his audition, he chose to perform the Queen song “Somebody To Love.” When he was in the show “We Will Rock You,” Brian worked closely with Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, so he was able to use this to perfect his performance in a way that few others could.

Brian completely nailed the audition and approval of all four judges, with judge Howie Mendel saying that he had gotten “everybody to love him.” Brian went on to make it through the next few rounds of the competition until he reached the final, where he performed Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror.” Though he finished in fourth place on the show, he is still known as one of the most popular AGT contestants ever!
