28-year old Pasquale or Fat Pat was morbidly obese. The new father lived with dangerous high blood pressure and cholesterol. The doctor warned Fat Pat, whose weight exceeded 600 pounds, that he needed to shed some extra pounds or he would die. The thought of his one-year old son remaining fatherless prompted him to follow the doctor’s advice and went ahead and achieved the unbelievable.
Given Fat Pat’s body size, he would not fit in the machine exercises. He began by walking one mile to Walmart and back whenever he felt hungry. After years of walking six miles daily, Fat Pat got a new look.
By October 2016, Pat has lost a significant amount of weight. Ellen learnt about his story and invited him to her show. Pat shared his story with the audience.
Unknown to him, Ellen had a surprise for him. Pat received a check worth $25,000 from Walmart. It was a way of supporting Pat in his weight loss journey.
