Aslan and Dzhambulat sprang into action, utilizing trash cans as an improvised ladder to ascend to the balcony adjacent to the elderly man’s. Despite their efforts to persuade him to move closer, the man remained immobile. Faced with this dilemma, one of them took a daring leap onto the elderly man’s balcony, with the assistance of another individual, successfully relocating him to the safety of the neighboring balcony.

Both Aslan and Dzhambulat emphasized that they didn’t hesitate to help. As reported by 20 Minutes, Aslan described his immediate reaction to the alarming scene: “I saw an old person… and I did not hesitate to climb. Everyone asked me the question, but I did not have time to be afraid; I had to go,” recounted Dzhambulat.

Footage captured from the onlooking crowd underscored the bravery of these men and the peril they faced in their mission to rescue the elderly man. Amidst the escalating danger marked by billowing smoke, their swift actions averted a potential tragedy.

Their exceptional selflessness and bravery did not go unnoticed, as the town’s mayor honored them with medals for their courageous acts. The firefighters from SDIS 77 acknowledged the significant risk involved and praised these acts of bravery, emphasizing their crucial role in the initial minutes of saving trapped individuals. This inspiring story serves as a reminder of the presence of compassionate and heroic individuals willing to perform noble deeds in our midst
