Michelle Cherland may rank as a Captain in the US Army Reserves, but she’s more than that. She also doubles up as a teacher at a kindergarten at Carillo Ranch Elementary, California. Michelle is a mom of 3 – a daughter and 2 sons. After her marriage ended in separation, she went on to raise her kids as a single parent, but that didn’t deter her from finding love once again. It just happened!
She met Rod, a correctional officer, through a mutual friend. Rod, too, has 4 daughters from a previous marriage. The two soon found themselves in love with each other. They decided to wed!
However, things got a little cloudy when Michelle went to her station to change her names after the wedding and got hit with the news that she was about to be deployed. She only had 22 days to prepare. That’s a little shocking!
