Bill went to Bedford Hills, New York to express his gratitude to Lauri, the woman who trained Pax, his service dog. Upon seeing Lauri, Pax ran towards her with excitement and joy, wagging his tail. Lauri hugged Pax and Bill, both of whom shared a love for the dog.
Lauri then took Bill to the room where female inmates trained the dogs, and explained that Pax had saved many broken people before him. Lauri knew that Pax would do well when she found out he was being trained as a PTSD dog. She was saddened when Pax had to leave the facility, but was happy knowing that he would provide comfort to someone else.
Now, Lauri and Bill have a shared experience and Pax has saved two lives. The video of their reunion and conversation is heartwarming and touching
