Nowadays, more and more people tend to ignore those in need of help because either they’re busy or they don’t want to get involved. And it’s sadenning, because helping and supporting each other is what makes us united.
That is why we had to share this amazing story with you. Taylor O’Neil proved he’s a great example of the hero today. The construction worker from Santa Ana is being praised by thousands for saving a woman from a kidnapper and rapist.
Taylor was walking by a truck one day when he heard a woman screaming from inside the vehicle. When he looked inside the truck, Taylor saw a man and a woman in some sort of altercation, and he was struck by the look of “fear” on the female’s face.
“I noticed she was in trouble. I tried to open the door… couldn’t open it,” Taylor recalled. “So, I banged on the glass. And that is when he got off of her.”
Taylor managed to save the woman, whose mouth and nose had been taped shut, and he took photos of the suspect’s white truck. One of the pictures showed the suspect’s license plate, so police were able to track down and arrest the perpetrator.
“Who knows what would have happened if he wasn’t there? Fortunately, the gods were working in her favor,” said Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
Police supposes that the suspect has benn targeting other victims in the past since this attack happened in broad daylight. Police are hailing Taylor as a hero, praising him for taking the time to stop and help a woman in need.
