Sometimes, taking the law into your own hands is justifiable. Waiting for help or calling 911 in the face of imminent danger is not the best option.
29-year old Bethany Arceneaux is a single mother residing in Lafayette, Louisiana. For three days, she went missing. Her family sought the police’s assistance to no avail. The family decided it was time to get involved.
Derrimetrie Robinson, Arceneaux’s associate, spotted her frantically honking her car as someone dragged her out of the car. Her abductor was her ex-boyfriend and the father to her 2-year-old son. Bethany had a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend.
Robinson rushed to Bethany’s rescue and grabbed the baby. Robinson watched Thomas throw Bethany into the back of his car and drove away recklessly.
The family put flyers all over town. Later on, police found Thomas’s car in a field and the two were not in sight. Some witnesses volunteered useful information that helped them locate the two.
Bethany family members and other people rushed to the empty house and heard screams from the inside. Fortunately, they were able to save Bethany after Bethany’s cousin shot Thomas dead.
