Two Labradors found themselves in danger when the boat they were in managed to break free and begin to descend downstream. The dogs looked somewhat panicked as they stood in the boat, looking for anyone who could save them.
Before humans even had a chance to think about helping them, another brave dog decided it was time to act.
A black lab standing on the beach saw that other K9s were in danger and rushed to their rescue. He jumped straight into the water and swam towards them, obviously more concerned with saving them than his own safety.
When the black lab reached the boat, one of the other dogs was smart enough to drop a rope into the water, giving the rescuer something to hold on to. The black tester took the rope in his mouth and then used it to pull the stray boat ashore while his friends remained safe inside the small craft.
While we don’t know exactly why the other dogs didn’t jump out of the boat and swim to safety, we can’t help but pay tribute to this brave dog’s incredible rescue.
He obviously realized that his friends were in danger and did everything in his power to not only save their lives but also the lost boat! We’re sure the boat owner was grateful that he didn’t have to try and chase his boat or it would get lost in the flowing water.
Some people think the dogs were just playing a game or maybe exercising real urgency. Either way, witnessing the rescue process for yourself is well worth the time it takes.
