Gelgi, a web developer from Turkey, had always dreamed of flying to San Francisco, California to further her career and participate in Guinness World Record events. When Turkey’s national carrier agreed to accommodate her, she was overjoyed and posted about her first-ever plane ride on Instagram.
The photos she shared showed her interacting with the flight crew, who seemed just as excited as she was, and enjoying her in-flight meal on a stretcher designed to accommodate her height. After landing, she expressed her gratitude to the numerous individuals who had helped make her journey possible.
Gelgi, who holds several world records for physical uniqueness, including the tallest woman, longest finger, largest hand, and longest back, is committed to continuing her advocacy efforts. In a recent Instagram post, she expressed her desire to inspire and encourage others with visible differences to celebrate their uniqueness and be themselves.
With her first plane ride behind her, Gelgi is eager to continue pursuing her dreams and breaking barriers.
