In life, challenges are bound to happen, and how people handle them can determine their outcome. Samantha’s parents were no exception, as they were known to have a strong relationship that withstood the challenges that life threw at them. Unfortunately, Samantha’s mother passed away, leaving her father with the task of keeping their family together.
“My mom asked my father to promise her that he would keep us all together and happy and healthy, and I think my father did an incredible job,” Samantha said. Their father did an excellent job until he too passed away a few years later due to cancer, leaving Samantha and her siblings parentless. Despite this, they continued to stick together as a family.
Samantha had to leave school to support her siblings, taking on a full-time job to make ends meet. She admits that it is not always easy, but with the death benefits they receive and her part-time job as a waitress, they are able to manage. Samantha credits her strength to her mother, who instilled in her the courage to face adversity head-on.
Determined to set an example for her siblings, Samantha returned to school part-time, hoping to inspire her siblings to pursue their dreams despite their circumstances. It was during one of her appearances on “The View” that the family received an unexpected surprise. Toyota representatives gifted Samantha $15,000 for school, and the family received a 2020 Toyota Sienna.
The family was beyond elated to receive the positive news after years of heartbreak. Despite the hardships they faced, Samantha and her siblings have come out stronger as a family, inspired by their parents’ legacy of resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
